We will be holding our late winter DVAPPA Meeting Wednesday,March 16th from 3pm-5pm
This meeting will be held virtually. Registration will be open starting Monday,February 28th at 4pm
We will hold a brief DVAPPA business meeting, then turn it over to Mitch:
Clayton “Mitch” Mitchell, SVP Real Estate& Facilities, Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Health System
Mitch will be discussing “Creating Transformational Facilities Teams”
At Jefferson, Mitch provides the leadership skills needed to implement their five-year Master
Facility Plan (MFP), including chairing the Master Facilities Planning committee, which
continuously monitors space assignments, allocations, as well as MFP projects and requests
ensuring alignment with their academic and clinical strategic initiatives.
Mitch’s philosophy for facilities operations and maintenance is that you need to combine your
physical resources and your people resources to deliver your services in an integrated fashion.
Mitch has a passion for Sustainability, stemming back to his military days, where he focused on
reducing resource usage to not only cut costs, but to ensure resources were readily available for
military operations purposes.
We will leave some time for discussion and perhaps some break out time or general discussion with participants.
